Sunset/Moonrise - Amethyst Crystal Stalagtite with Amethyst Moonface
This is the second in my “Sunset” series, as the first sold quickly! This pendant features again a cross section polished square of quartz stalagtite from Uruguay. The color banding in the Agate shows sunset colors over green horizon, blending down to the purple natural amethyst crystals. The rising moon set below is a 12mm carved Amethyst gem face. The waning amber-colored gemstone sun above is a 5mm faceted Tourmaline.
I have lost-wax cast this one-of-a-kind piece in sterling silver, and oxidized it for detail.
It hangs from an 18”, 1.5mm heavier gauge sterling snake chain.
