Drusy Chalcedony Grape Leaf with Spessartite Garnet/ Sterling Leaf Pendant
This Chalcedony gemstone is covered in fine quartz crystals over the blue and gray banding. It was machine cut to the shape of a grape leaf but left natural except for a polish on the back showing natural black with white banding in Agate.
I have made this setting especially to fit the stone, lost-wax cast in sterling silver and oxidized to show detail. The pretty 3mm Spessartite Garnet (natural orange color) picks up the orange “iron” spots in the stone. Back of the pendant is cut out to show the back of the stone, plus is a beautiful alternate side!
The unusual chain is 18”, black rhodium plated sterling silver, and compliments the pendant perfectly!
